Device Information

We collect a device-specific identifier to save your app preferences (BPM settings, sound type). This identifier cannot be used to personally identify you and is stored securely in Firebase Firestore.

Audio Data

When you enable "Listen Mode," the app uses your device's microphone to detect putter strikes. This audio is processed locally on your device in real-time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers. The audio analysis happens entirely on your device.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage statistics such as session counts and app settings to improve the user experience. This data is anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally.

How We Use Your Information

  • To save your app preferences (BPM, sound type) across sessions
  • To provide timing feedback in Listen Mode
  • To improve app performance and fix bugs
  • To understand how users interact with the app

Data Storage and Security

Your settings and preferences are stored securely using:

  • Firebase Firestore: Cloud-based database with industry-standard encryption
  • Local Device Storage: Cached locally for offline access
  • No Personal Information: We do not collect names, emails, or any personally identifiable information

Third-Party Services

PuttIQ uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): For data storage and app analytics
  • Expo: For app development and updates

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of information.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete your data by uninstalling the app (all local data is removed)
  • Use the app without creating an account
  • Disable Listen Mode to prevent microphone access
  • Request information about the data we store

Children's Privacy

PuttIQ does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for golfers of all ages, but we do not require or request any personal information that would allow us to identify the age of our users.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date above.
